Frequently asked questions
How do I add a widget?
Touch and hold an empty spot on the Home Screen, tap the + button, search for Skypiece and choose a size. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the lock screen, tap Customize, then add Skypiece under the clock or in the row below it. For StandBy, put the iPhone on its side while charging and swipe to the widget stack.
How do I change a widget's color or design?
Touch and hold the widget, tap Edit Widget, and choose a design and color. You can also pick the Smart widget, which chooses a design for you based on the weather. The Pro designs are previewed in the app.
How do the weather alerts work?
Open Skypiece, go to Settings, and turn on the alerts you want: rain, storms, and high UV. Allow notifications when asked. Alerts are scheduled on your device from the latest forecast. If you do not receive them, check that notifications are allowed for Skypiece, that Focus modes are not silencing them, and that Background App Refresh is on.
Why does the widget show the wrong place or old data?
Widgets refresh on a schedule chosen by iOS, so they can lag by a few minutes. Open the app once to refresh. Make sure location is set to "While Using the App" (or pick a city by hand in Settings) and that you are online.
How do I restore my purchase?
Open Skypiece, go to Settings, and tap Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple ID you bought with. If it does not work, email us with your order details.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Skypiece and tap Cancel. The lifetime purchase has nothing to cancel.
What is free and what is Pro?
Free: the Poster, Sculpture and Storm designs and a temperature Lock Screen accessory. Pro unlocks all 21 designs, every color, all Lock Screen accessories, alerts and the 5 app icons.
Where does the weather data come from?
Apple WeatherKit. See the Privacy Policy for what is sent.
Which languages are supported?
English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese. Skypiece follows your iPhone language.
